Solar light from electricity? I believe LEDs are close to that by their mechanism, even though their spectrum does not match very well the spectrum of sunlight.

It is surprisingly hard to get good quality light inside rooms with small or no windows, or into underground spaces. None of our lamps is a good match to real sunlight.

There have been attempts to guide sunlight into rooms with optical cables, but I wonder how much light they will transfer, and their assembly is not simple, either.
