Can energy be created?
i think energy can be created by einstein mass energy relation e=mc2

Wrong. That explains exactly a conservation. One of the rules in termodynamics (or in fact any science that uses energy) is that energy is constant, you can change it from one form to another and some maybe more usefull then others but it never changes his quatity.

We have a famous saying "Energy can be neither created nor destroyed but it can be changed from one form to another"
But after albert einstein the physics started new phase where mass and energy were related together so that mass could be used for better yield of energy but yet....Its not that Energy can be created

I am not being bad but realizing that Tiago has gone bit far in physics I have a question for him
Am I correct that Mass can be converted to energy?
If no, why Mass of .....suppose a paper.....decreases to great extent after it is burnt i.e. is converted to (heat) energy
Can this atleast lead us to 'Can Mass be converted to Energy ' ?????

energy ca not be created but it can be change frm one form to another and whenver u try to change form of energy than tot energy might not change to one form to another for eg if u try to change kinetic eng to mechanical than some of energy miht change into another form and u might feel thatsome energy has lost .............

but it's clear frm e.g. given by sachit..that mass has been converted into energy ..not a mere energy-energy transformation..if u say so..then acc. to u,what type of energy in the paper has been converted into heat energy?i think the ans. comes frm e=mc2

HI FRIENDS YOU MUST NOW THAT FROM NOTHING DOESNT BORN NOTHING AND THE ENERGY CANT BE CREATED BECAUSE YOU CANT CREATE IT YOU CAN JUST CHANGE IT AND OF COURSE BODYS HAVE THEIR ENERGY BECAUSE THEIR HAVE THEIR POTENTIAL ENERGY

WELL YOU MUST KNOW THAT THE BODY ENERGY HIS POTENTIAL ENERGY HIS ENERGY OF MOLECULES AND AT5OMS IS CONVERTED IN HEAT ENERGY

Sachit,The answer is No. A burning paper does not constitute a loss of mass. What it is is a rearangement of molecules into a new state of entropy. If you acount the oxigen mass used in such reaction and the ammount of paper consumed and the ash created you will see that no mass has ever been lost. This is called quimical energy, the energy of the molecules to from links and electronical arrangements is transformed into heat and light.

Tiago Do you mean Masss of paper is equal to the Mass of Ash Plus the mass of Oxyegn used????
